Opinions on this mac from Jigsaw...

I'm considering buying this mac in navy: www.jigsaw-online.com/products/fluid-belted-mac-8245

I like the fluid shape: most long coats in this style are too stiff for my liking. Any opinions? In general, would you say that Jigsaw quality is good?

This one looks a bit shapeless, but it depends on your taste. Generally Jigsaw quality is good.

I really like it :) It looks like a twist on the classic and really comfy. Very nice choice.

I have a Jigsaw mac not entirely dissimilar that's I've had for 5 or so years. Good quality and washes well which is handy for tube and train travel.

I saw this actually in the shop today, and liked it a lot but it was dreadfully creased even on the hanger and did not seem like it would be the least bit shower/weather proof.

Depends what you would want it for really, as a lightweight layer worn like a cardigan it'd be fine. It's a lovely shape.

I think it's horrible to be honest, very shapeless. But if you like it, buy it. Always think it would be very dull if everyone like the same style.

It comes with a belt that ties at the waist iirc

Hmm, Scarletskies, it's interesting that you mention creasing - one of the reviews on the website mentions the same problem. That's why I'm hesitant to buy.

I accept that it's a bit shapeless, but that's actually what I wanted - something quite loose to go over my work outfits. The search goes on...

From the pics I like it but whether it suits you or not is the bigger question. I bough a mac last year and I tried on loads before I found the right one - which I now really love.

I think it's lovely, it says it's belted so would have some shape. It just seems to lack that stiffness most trenches have.
Jigsaw is good quality wise and that coat is a bargain in the sale.
