I know it's been done before but why do dress designers hate women? There must be about 10 women who suit elasticated waists in the whole of Europe and the tiny proportion of dresses that don't have elasticated waists seem designed to make you look as much like a sack of potatoes as possible.
I took the day off work last week to buy some new dresses for work. What a depressing experience. I don't want to spend megabucks as I'm only about halfway through losing my baby weight but there was barely any choice anyway. Nothing in H&M, Nafnaf (never has a shop name been so appropriate), M&S, Mango. Zara's a waste of time (don't know what body shape they design for). Don't have tons of choice around here but was too depressed to drive out of town to try the Next outlet down there.
I bought a couple from an independent in the end but for about twice as much as I wanted to spend.
And when did H&M become so crap? They used to be my go to for cheap and cheerful but now their stuff is either
- Badly cut
- Crappy fabric
- Hideous designs/patterns
- All of the above
Argh
