That'll teach me to procrastinate! Never realised it was that soon. What's the chances they'll tKe it back two weeks later?

Trying to see a bright side, it's motivation to lose a couple of pounds too ....

I've taken stuff back after two wks

thereinmadnesslies · 05/07/2014 13:00

I find they generally take stuff back up to 28 days, although a couple of times the jobsworth assistant has had to call the next directory customer services to get authorisation.

YellowStripe · 05/07/2014 13:02

I'll give it a try this afternoon. Hopefully if they're busy, they'll just take it.

I often return up to 2 weeks later and have never had a problem.

beccajoh · 05/07/2014 13:04

I nearly got caught out by this too earlier in the year, and I've discovered other retailers do it too, although Next is the stingiest for returns.

polyhymnia · 05/07/2014 13:42

Just taken something back 2 weeks after and was fine.

ShelaghTurner · 05/07/2014 13:49

I'm constantly returning things more than 2 weeks later. I've almost got my own parking space there Blush

PrimalLass · 05/07/2014 17:40

Just do a courier collection.

fascicle · 05/07/2014 20:34

The law on this has recently changed (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 - came into force a few weeks ago). Looks like Next's t&cs are in line with the law change, allowing up to 14 days after the date of delivery to return items.

ScarlettDarling · 05/07/2014 22:04

I've taken things back after 6 weeks. I think what happens is that the items are charged to your account after 8 days and if you return things after that, you Will be refunded on your next statement. If you return things within 8 days, you are never charged for them in the first place.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 05/07/2014 22:13

Wrt the courier collection, that's only if you keep an item that you ordered, right?

mumofsnotbags · 06/07/2014 06:55

Ive also just sent things back to nex after 2 months. It was a couple of cushions that were still in their bags as we changed our minds about the colour to do the living room.

I couldnt face going the shop with them so rung for the courier, they were refunded back onto my account within about 2-3 days i think.

I think they maybe charge you a small fee if you send the whole order back, but as I'd have to drive somewhere and park to get to a store, I don't mind paying for convenience.

OneHandFlapping · 06/07/2014 10:44

I don't shop at Next because I've been caught out by this.

It's a massive disincentive. I wish Next would realise this and change it
