Am hoping someone will be able to give me much needed advice here. My hair at 50plus has turned a rather dirty pepper and salt grey and I have been having it coloured at hairdressers every six weeks or so.
However after about 3 weeks hair takes on a rather horrid gingery sheen which is most unpleasant and Im a bit desperateas hairdresser last time charged 89 which I cannot afford every few weeks.
Can anyone suggest a good make and what colour would be appropriate, my natural colour before grey was light brown with auburn lstreaks.

Anyh advice would be much appreciated.

No chance of you embracing your natural colour and concentrating your £££s on getting a reallt great cut every 4 weeks?

I do know the sort of gingery sheen you mean, it's worse, really, than the greys you want to cover

I have the same problem. Aveda's coloured conditioners help a bit by depositing a bit of colour on the ends. Black Malva for a cool tone, Clove for warm.

I'm going to check out Daniel Field's Watercolour too, it's a semi-permanent I believe?
