Hi.
I am 3 months post natal with 3rd dc
but none of my clothes look good as my shape has totally changed - from being a small waisted pear to a heavy boobed apple.
I am tall, 5'9'' and small shouldered yet bigger tummy/lovehandles/hips/bum about a 16 bottom; and this puzzling pair of norks...I either look like a cheap barmaid circa 1990 or a frump

I have no idea what tops/dress styles/jeans work on this shape, and also have about 10pence...
so come on,give me style ideas and shapes to look out for

thanks very much

Are you bf? If so the boobs may go back down later so you might not want to ditch the old wardrobe just yet.

Meanwhile I think a loose dress with a waist would be one place to start.

to give you an idea Not necessarily recommending this dress in particular but this shape. Loose above and below the waist so plenty of room but gives you a shape. But if BF you might need a nursing version.

yes, am BF... access is also a side issue

I really think I am shockingly bad at picking clothes!!
stuff I have now makes me either look enormous or is very ill fitting

are there jeans that fit a smaller waist with massive hips? like pear jeans? that also hold in belly flappage? Grin
thanks for the dress idea..it is different to my others

but belts! they don't work either for me.
I have a dress a little like that that ties at the back, but is also a shiny fabric and far too small at the mo

How about Gap curvy jeans? Think they're about £40 but always on sale/voucher code/vouchers in Magazines. They are small on the waist and big on the hip. I last bought them years ago so not sure if they're still about but great if they are!

These next jeans are great for holding in a wobbly tummy and muffin top (I should know!) and are slightly stretchy so v. comfy. www.next.co.uk/x532172s3#891221x53

Before i lost my baby weight i bought a few things from simply be. It has fashionable clothes that are quite young looking. Im not saying to order from there, but just to give you ideas for your own shape. They mostly do clothes for sizes 12 plus. Here is the link. They do some really nice joe browns things.

thanks folks.

like those next jeans,.

what style maxi dress would work?

OP posts:
BeeBlanket · 04/07/2014 10:56

Well I looked for a structured, strappy maxi with a print to disguise lumps and bumps, that you could BF in and that might flatter your shape...

the missoni one is nice - reduced to 423 pounds now! Grin
