Curling DH!!!???!!!

Hello,
First post, so a little nervous so please bear with me. Thing is, DH is no spring chicken anymore (he just likes to think he is) and his longer than average hair is thinning/disappearing. When my hairdresser comes round she also trims and blow-dries DH's hair, and sometimes uses curling tongs to get more curl and hide the thin bits a bit more. He moans but loves it really and it does look good when its done.
I can't blow-dry hair for toffees and tongs are a lethal weapon in my hands (just ask DD!) but I am quite good with rollers and think I could get the same affect with them and hairdresser agrees but she doesn't carry rollers as part of her home hair-kit. HAs anyone curled their other halfs hair? I mentioned it half jokey and he didn't refuse outright but is worried that he will look totally redikerlous and if anyone finds out he will be laughed at for ever. Iknow rollers are not used as much as in my mums day but think the result will be worth the effort. Any thoughts?

Oh now I've seen the link he definitely needs to go shorter if he has hair like that!

Longish at the back and thinning on top? You're not married to John McCririck are you?

Shock Errr...No, definitely nothing like him. Sorry, but what's "The Booby?" mean?

God no.

Booby is what John mccririck calls his wife.

No I haven't curled Dps hair. I did straighten it once just because I was doing mine and he wanted to see how it looks. (It looked stupid)

I did mention his hair dye job on a thread on S &B so MrFlat isn't the only one suffering with male hair related idiocy.

How about a hot brush? Although I actually think he should cut it off Confused
