Yes! Obviously I'm special too Hmm so special I'll pay more in the sale than I normally pay for Boden

ladybyron · 03/07/2014 13:19

Rubbish sale.

LoonvanBoon · 03/07/2014 13:25

Yes, I got one too. It does look a bit pathetic after the 30% off everything they had the other week. Some items that are still showing blue - ie. plenty of stock - have only been reduced by 10-20%.

Seem to remember it was rubbish last year too, but then after about a week - of slow sales, presumably - they started reducing some things by 60% or more.

Greengardenpixie · 03/07/2014 13:38

Well I cant really afford it this year anway but at those prices i wont be affording it!! or i will wait it out!!

When is the actual sale?

Marylou2 · 03/07/2014 14:34

What rubbish! They are going to be left with a lot of stock as these prices won't encourage anyone to buy.Particularly as you have to pay postage too.

EldonAve · 03/07/2014 14:44

Thanks Greengardenpixie

flowery · 03/07/2014 14:51

Had a look. Couldn't find anything I wanted, only a few things at 10% off (otherwise translated as more expensive than usual, not less).

NumptyNu · 03/07/2014 14:52

slightly off topic, but has anyone bought the Ravello top in Silver? I wanted Ivory (none left), but I wondered if the Silver might do just as well. Has anyone bought it? How would you describe the colour?

CoconutAmericano · 03/07/2014 15:06

Are the jersey maxi skirts reduced does anyone know?

Greengardenpixie · 03/07/2014 15:08

Yes flowery more expensive than they would be had you had a 15% discount!! I think the problem is they have had too many discounts throughout the year!!!

OP posts:
LoonvanBoon · 03/07/2014 16:17

Wips, last year it started Sunday afternoon - during the men's Wimbledon final!

pinkfrocks · 03/07/2014 18:23

the occasion dresses are 50% off.

GobblersKnob · 03/07/2014 18:28

I got pissed off when they started splitting different colours/patterns into different price brackets.

What happened to the good old days when everything was 50%, then lots went to 70%?

You know where you stood then.

Bastards.

pinkfrocks · 03/07/2014 19:02

well it's obvious why - innit :)

Too much stock in some colours= dirt cheap. 1 or 2 left in popular colours= higher price.

Greengardenpixie · 03/07/2014 19:04

I too get pissed off with this. I have also noticed Amazon does this with shoe size and colour. Fine if you are a not so popular size you are quids in. Size 6, then forget it. It is very annoying regardless of the reason.

OP posts:
GobblersKnob · 03/07/2014 20:17

Yeah, I get why Wink

But they only started doing it recently, before then everything went to 50% regardless of popularity.

CointreauVersial · 03/07/2014 20:24

I'm "special" too. Hmm

There were lots of reductions on dresses, but to be honest it just brings them down to the prices they should have been at in the first place. Tempted by the scarves, though....

The Lola top I bought a couple of weeks ago is actually more expensive.

rhubarbcrumbleplease · 03/07/2014 20:25

I bought this for £35 plus some shorts & swim shorts for DH & DS.
It may make my not unsubstantial hips look enormous but I've got a collection of free returns labels.

rhubarbcrumbleplease · 05/07/2014 13:59

Reporting back. The skirt is very pretty but the pleats aren't pressed so it flairs out from the hips. Would be lovely on someone very slender, but not me.
