Ok so what is the least painful and effective epilator.... too much hair, too many razors snd creams. Oh and I'm bloody Greek, needs to be industrial !

I have an epilator - BraunSilkEpil. It's a couple of years old though, so there may be more up to date models.

It works okay - i only use it on legs. It does hurt - at first, until your skin goes numb. ??

Wouldn't say it gives a perfect finish - there are often little hairs that i miss, but most of mine are quite fair and fine. The epilator seems to not be able to grip those as easily. it can get a good hold on the thicker darker hairs though.

Can you borrow one off a friend first to see how you get on with it? Or buy from qVc where you can return it if you don't get on with it.

Silkepil here too. I've got very dark hairs and apart from the tiny ones (i don't believe the grain of sand rubbish)it does quite well.

You have to grit your teeth and bear the pain the first few times and after that it does become easier. I think its as the hair roots weaken. I've gone to ipl as I was having to do it every week or so and it took me quite a while but i already had patches without hair on my legs from epilating.

Another silkepil fan here. Been using it for about 4 years now, so its pretty ancient. I don't recall my legs hurting too much, but armpits stung like buggery the first couple of times. Now I do legs and pits weekly and it takes a couple of mins with the aid of reading glasses so I don't miss patches on my legs and a 10x mirror for inspecting armpits for strays.

What about bikini line and bum

Christ almighty

Was ok with it all until you mention bikini line etc. No fucking way. Do legs with an epilator though. I love the results. Not perfect and completely hair free but just the short fine ones left so not noticeable anyway.

I had the original Braun Silkepil..lasted nearly 20 years and hurt like hell.
Now I have a philips one and it...hurts like hell Grin

Ok for legs..I do them when the hairs are really short bit it takes a couple of days to get it all, and then it's brilliant. BUT after a month of using it (I only do it in summer to cut down the shaving) I get ingrown hairs no matter how often I exfoliate.

I wouldn't do my bum or fanjo without a general anaesthetic!!! Arm pits neither..I tried and it was worse than giving birth!

It's much easier if you do it straight out of the shower.
