Often see it mentioned on here, picked some up this morning, can't remember how much but less than a fiver.

Just tried it , good Lord it's amazing!!Shock perfect colour-I'm a nw20 in Mac foundation and I have the cool medium colour. It doesn't cake, look thick or settle in lines.

Get some!!Grin

i'm obsessed with another cheapie, Boots' Seventeen one, called Phwoarr Paint. I keep stocking up as terrified they might discontinue!
it's very very heavy duty and wouldn't be good for dry skin
but it sorts out my under eye circles more than anything i've ever used, and believe me i've used them all. take that, laura mercier, bobbi brown, ysl etc etc
I have the worst ever, they still show a bit.
But this is the best i've used, and staying power too. I do still powder over the top.
I think it's designed for teen skin as it's potentially drying, but at 43 i still have oily skin . Sometimes use a bit of primer under it though

alltoomuchrightnow · 30/06/2014 14:27

they're £4.99

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/06/2014 14:40

Is the phwoar paint just for under eyes or would it be good else where too?

OP posts:
alltoomuchrightnow · 30/06/2014 14:47

it says under eyes
However, I dab the tiniest amount on a brush and use it elsewhere (e.g. PMS blemishes) also over my cupid's bow slightly as i get redness there.
I've been searching for a concealer like this since the 80s!
oh i have a few broken veins too so i lightly dab on there
I think a lot of people would find it too heavy and drying but you can thin it out or apply v lightly building up layers. It's certainly great if you are on the oily side as it doesn't drift!
I've got Maybelline's Baby
Skin instant pore eraser and i find it too slippery and greasy for my skin, however, it works like a dream under this concealer. If i'm needing extra concealer under the eyes I will put on the baby skin first and it makes it less drying . I suppose someone with dry skin could just mix it with foundation or moisturiser. I don't even use moisturiser in day time.
so it really depends on your skin and what other products you use however this concelaer goes the distance. I do powder over it for extra staying power

alltoomuchrightnow · 30/06/2014 14:47

under eyes i just apply with my fingers

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/06/2014 14:53

Oh I'm getting some to try out!!Grin

the powder is great too that they do (which i don't use under eyes. . i use Laura Mercier's brightening one for that as is lighter texture) it's all a Godsend for an oily bird like me on summer days, I touch up with the powder maybe once a day (in England that is… but it has been humid!). I used to be touching up all day.
best thing for me is seeing my circles diminish
I used to use like three layers of other concealer, plus powder (and foundation) and people would still comment and say, 'have you tried concealer on those?' --grrrrrr-
I can still see them , but i'm not getting comments any more

alltoomuchrightnow · 30/06/2014 14:57

it's like they show about 20% now and it used to be about 90. I don't exaggerate.. people would ask if i'd been punched! i have v thin , white english skin, it's not pigment so i can't fade them

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/06/2014 15:01

My friend has the same, really blue with pale skin. I'll tell her!

Reviews are great for phwoar paint, just been reading!

ok i just tried it again with quite a bit of the BabySkin under. it def makes it thinner and more runny; no good for my black holes!. So i'm better off putting it on dry unmoisturised skin or with a primer for oily skin.

So for those with dry skin, i would moisturise or eye cream and wait for it to absorb. and experiment a bit. It can be thinned.
I do put mine on over YSL foundation, which is quite oily for me though.
the Phwoar staying power is obviously going to increase by what it's sitting on.. for me that means a non oily base, combined with my LM powder it's amazing. It really stays put on the most humid days when i've been doing housework etc.,, and working up a sweat. even if everything else slides off, my rings are still hidden, hurrah!
I wonder if it would cover up my tattoos.. it wold probably work better than my Vichy concealer which is poo. hmmm off to experiment
I never even used Seventeen since I was about 17! i'm really impressed and going to look at more of their stuff.

wellnowthenmardybum · 30/06/2014 16:47

I am usually on these threads yelling at people to buy the lasting perfection concealer, but recently me and dd went for a weekend away, and I appear to have left my makeup bag somewhere Angryso I borrowed dds makeup, she had the phwarr paint and it is good, maybe better than the lasting perfection. It makes me look a bit less like a member of a family of racoons. It is definitely high coverage!

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 30/06/2014 16:54

I'd need counselling if I left my make up bag somewhere!Shock

Your poor make up bag!
Love the collection 2000 one as it concealed post baby eye tireness but may try the other...

MissMilbanke · 30/06/2014 20:31

Bought the wrong one today after reading something on here a few days ago. Super drug do a collection range too but it's not right for me.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/07/2014 13:28

Looked for phwoar but tesco doesn't stock it BUT ended up buying maybelline better skin which is surprisingly good and it was 4 quid on offer!

OP posts:

I bought this the other day and I love it - I now look my 27 years instead of a haggard tired wreck...!

alltoomuchrightnow · 01/07/2014 13:52

Phwoar is Seventeen, i.e. Boot's own (i.e. Seventeen for teens and 43 year olds like me ! and No7 for beyond teens . I bought 17 in the 80s as it was all I could afford. And now preferring it to No7

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/07/2014 14:04

Ah yes, of courseBlush

Is anyone else struggling to get the Collection one in Fair?

I had to get one off Amazon in the end as I can't find it anywhere locally.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 01/07/2014 14:16

It wasn't in super drug, luckily I needed cool medium. Perhaps people are buying it up and selling it on Ebay?

OP posts:
Coumarin · 02/07/2014 02:16

I have the collection one in fair and it is really good but I think it breaks me out a bit if I use it anywhere other than my eyes.

I have very pale translucent skin and hereditary blue dark circles on my inner eye. Lovely. No amount of Laura Mercier, Bobbi Brown, Mac etc has ever fully covered them so going to try the 17 one next.

MyrtleDove · 02/07/2014 03:38

Remember that concealer needs to be applied in a triangle shape under the eyes.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 02/07/2014 07:04

Blimey, that's loads! I only need I couple of tiny dabs fortunately.
