How to style this skirt

Acquired this lovely skirt today (overjoyed to find Sainsbo's do a short length! Smile).

Any suggestions on how best to style it? I was thinking navy top and tan wedges but does anyone have any more creative ideas? Accessories suggestions also gratefully received!

White shirt tucked in and heels?
T shirt or vest, cropped denim jacket, sandals?
Fitted short sleeved jumper and ballet flats?

It's a lovely skirt and will go with loads of things, just keep the top half fitted to balance the full skirt and you're good! White, navy, cream, red, lime, pink would all go imo.

You could pick out most colours of the flowers (red top, white etc) and match. I'd go for plain top as opposed to frills.

You could also, try a striped top, navy stripes as the contrast (I've got a striped and huge rose t shirt) as a contrast.

Shoes again see above navy or tan or colour of flowers. No black!

Also, you could easily do a corsage (rose) or bracelet that could work perhaps.

I agree with FauxFox - as long as your top half is fitted and plain, it'll look good!

I'd wear it with white shirt and heels in one of the colours of the skirt, with a chunky bracelet but no necklace, or boat neck top/t-shirt, it might look nice picking out the little bit of olive green in it for the top colour.

Also maybe a vest top with a cropped cardie, although that could look a little bit twee... definately not a cardie that falls below the waist, that would be too frumpy.

It's hard with full skirts, I've realised it's been years of buying fitted bottom half clothing with looser longer top half, so I've struggled to style the few I've bought.

oh and as the skirt is so busy, as you are short, avoid too much jewellery or fuss.

Cropped cardi would look fab Mary. In fact you should almost nod (or a bit) towards 1950s with that skirt, well I think so.
