How does this contouring malarkey work then? Is it only done by MUA?

Or, to put it another way, will I make a tit of myself if I try it at home.

so easy, right, bronzer first, temples, under cheekbones, under chin, down the sides of your nose if you want a smaller looking nose, get another brush, blusher, high up on cheekbones, next, get another brush, highlighter, down the centre of your nose, sides of your eyes, forehead, next get a huge brush and blend it all together and when you think you've blended it blend it some more, done Grin

What products do you use? Bronzers sooo sparkly it puts me off it.

I buy translucent powder in dark skin shades instead.

best bronzer, no sparkle, either bourjois like a chocolate block , shaped like a chocolate block or rimmel natural bronzer, both excellent no sparkle, highlighter, definitely best natural looking one -sleek contour palette, best blusher (from hundreds tried)...(maybe slight exagerration, loads tried ) instain from the balm Smile

www.superdrug.com/sleek-makeup/sleek-face-contour-kit-light/invt/608327#readReview is this the sleek one? Can't you just use this kit to contour then use a blusher?

I have a peach blusher, will that work?

Watch facial contouring on YouTube, you'll see why you need to use contour/highlighter.

Don't be put off by the slightly lion king on stage make up-ness of the in between steps. Grin

You have to be very very careful with the blending. Otherwise you look like you've drawn stripes over your face. It takes too long to be an every day thing. Mind you some of the before and afters on pinterest are amazing. I also use the bronzer shaped like a chocolate block. I mainly use it on my nose. I put it underneath and it makes my nose look completely different in photos.

Aliceinvodkaland · 27/06/2014 18:17

yes, that's the sleek one

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/06/2014 18:27

I'm going to try it. On my day off or dh will laugh Angry

This time next week I will have cheekbones. Grin

Thanks everyone.

i wouldn't use the dark shade in the contour kit, i would use bronzer, looks more natural Smile

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/06/2014 18:45

Really? Ok then. No point getting it wrong is there?

atticusclaw · 27/06/2014 18:56

I still don't really get cheekbones even with the contouring. My face just isn't like that.

Fluffycloudland77 · 27/06/2014 18:59

I have cheek bones but very pale skin, there's no natural pink tones in my skin so it looks flat.

Plus I wear SPF 50 everyday so you can imagine how pale I am.

Hi there's a sleek contour palette that has a bronzer, highlighter and blusher together. I got it as I couldn't find the bronzer/highlighter one.
But it's great! And I've got really fast at it.
Defo zero sparkle in bronzer is essential. Good brushes too, I bought real technique in boots on a 3 for 2 deal.
I look so much better doing this!
Contouring, a bit of wash off fake tan on my neck and I look actually alive (16m old that doesn't sleepHmm)

Have a go!

Marking place to try later!

atticusclaw · 30/06/2014 07:56

Its as much about the brushes as the powder IMO
