All in one nail base and top coats

A work colleague says they don't work and she uses a separate base and top coat. I must say her nail polish stays put all week but I find it more economical and less clutter to buy the two in one. Which do you prefer?

Essie all-in-one is quite good. Nothing beats a good top coat like Essie Good to Go or even better Seche Vite though imo.

Separate is better. They do different things! And they won't be quick dry which means it take aaages.
The best one I've seen though that's ok is the 3in1 Sally Hansen with nylon.
