Roots

I had my hair professionally highlighted to quite a bright blonde hue about six weeks now, unfortunately the roots are now starting to show. I cannot afford nor wish to return to the salon and have tried Clairol root touch up in the past which was rubbish; I'm also working with the John Frieda/NuSunIn stuff. Does anyone have any ideas? Thx

I wouldn't attempt home highlights....

An all over tint if your hair is light enough to carry it - loreal 8.1 is a good one (or any make 8.1)

Thanks Duke. I have had problems with home highlights before and will give L'Oriel a try.

If your hair is darker to start with then they do a prelightener you can use first.

I also recommend twice a week silver shampoo to stop the yellowing between colouring!

Ooh thanks for both tips, will check out the silver shampoo as my hair tends to get a bit 'brassy' at times.
