Where else can I try for a suit?

I have been to m&s, matalan, next, warehouse, monsoon, wallis, mango, zara, hobbs, laura ashley, fat face, whitestuff and have been on their websites too.

I need an inexpensive trouser suit max £100 I am a size 14 and 5 foot nothing, so I probably need petite. I would prefer grey or blue (but not navy).

Where have I forgotten?

House of Fraser, John Lewis, Tk Maxx

I'd say try a dept store and see if you can pick something up in the sale in précis petite or one of the other concessions. These concessions are usually near the rain coats and far away from the trend brands but do do good suits.
House of Fraser own brand (Linea) usually do a few suits.

Austin Reed?

wonkylegs · 22/06/2014 16:29

I find Austin reed expensive and rubbish quality - have returned 2 suits one of mine & one of dh's as they have worn terribly.
If your wanting cheap - next is usually ok but dull, more expensive try john Lewis or HofF for a range.

Debanhams?

If you are 5 foot and quite chunky I would say do not get a trouser suit at all. I think they only have a chance of looking ok on women who are reasonably tall, 5'9''or so, and slim. If you are short but big the jacket will cut up your body and make you look like you have stumpy legs and an arse the size of Wales. Why not see if you can find a decent fitting dress instead.

No advice except to Shock at how fucking rude aoife24 is.

OneHandFlapping · 22/06/2014 17:17

I think a trouser suit is very flattering to the not-so-svelte, and easy to wear.

Mind you, so is the right dress.

DottyDooRidesAgain · 22/06/2014 17:20

Why not see if you can go and be insulting somewhere else! aoife Hmm

There was absolutely no need for that. If you don't have anything nice or helpful to say shut the fuck up.

arf at aoife Grin

I have yet to find a dress that fits me as I am short waisted, not to mention the fact that I don't like them very much.

FYI my arse is now only the size of Guernsey, so don't worry about that. Wink
