I am in desperate need of a new bra (my favourite black one tried to stab me in the heart).

I live nowhere near a bravissimo - is there another retailer that's half decent - or should I suck it up and go to marks and spencers?

I think if you measure yourself well you can choose your own bra.
I used to go to Debenhams, not massive choice but I was always able to find something. Lady who advised me wasonce wrong about measurements and was once surprised how I was able to "squeeze" in a bra 2 sizes down and 3 cups up!

Now we have new Bravissimo in Guilford I can go there Smile

online. Order a whole load, try in the comfort of your own home and keep the one you like best.

I ordered 8 bras in different styles and sizes from bravissimo yesterday. I plan to keep 2 at most. It's so much easier to try them on in the comfort of home.

Really recommend Brastop.com. Like Bravissimo except cheaper prices. Free delivery and returns so I order loads to try, keep 1 or 2 and send rest back. I recently got 2 - one was £11 and one £16 (reduced from £25-30). I haven't paid that little for a bra since I was about 14!

John Lewis are good. Avoid M&S!

Are you near a Boux Avenue? Same type of fitting as Bravissimo (ie no tapes) and lovely stuff/very helpful staff.

M and S is only okay if you know your 'real' size and don't let any ladies with a tape measure anywhere near your person ie you just try on!

addictedtosugar · 22/06/2014 08:44

I go to a little independent shop on the high street, but it takes some searching out.

antimatter · 22/06/2014 11:03

thanks shortaris1 - there's Boux Avenue in Guilford!

SuperFlyHigh · 22/06/2014 11:16

Figleaves online are v good even for larger sizes and their telephone people are v expert re sizing.

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 22/06/2014 12:02

No need to avoid m&s just go by your own fitting. Most of my bras from there as i can't afford £30 on one bra so get the £15 ones and get a few. They fit well central gore sits where it's supposed to etc.

I would have to say the reviews of fitting at Boux are generally not great, and when we tried them out they didn't seem to have a clue! Maybe it's store specific
