With your colouring and the dark dress I would stay away from pale colours. Purple might be good too do you want me to have a look?

Do you want a shrug or a wrap/shawl type thing? You could do red shoes and a black and white polkadot wrap, a sort of 1950's look.

The 1950's look sound good.

I would add a day or belt in either pink or yellow. I have a great wide yellow bow belt I got in Ted baker years ago their current offering is skinny.

definitely add a sash in a non bridesmaid colour - you can either buy a wide ribbon and seal the ends yourself with a match or there are some fab ones available if your budget allows .... just found this company sash
