I had no idea that many exfoliating washes have plastic micro beads in them and the harm these things do to the environmentSad
Bit of an eye opener.

Isn't it? I am now looking out for polyethylene in ingredients lists. Does anyone know if there's anything else to look for?

I was shocked when I found out about this - I used to think exfoliating meant scrubbing and bought loads of products with beads in.

Not only do they do nothing for your skin, they damage the environment too Sad

Yet another beauty industry con. Proper exfoliating should be products with AHA or BHA in but they don't look as fancy as packet full of microbeads.
