Thread about a Thread - kind of
A lovely MNetter linked to this dress www.amazon.co.uk/Black-Butterfly-Floral-Rockabilly-Swing/dp/B00C7ALT2Y/ref%3Dsr_1_1?s=clothing&ie=UTF8&qid=1402253843&sr=1-1&keywords=50s+halter+neck+dress in another thread.

The reviews are amazing and I'd love to leave my usual Dorothy Perkins comfort zone and try something different BUT I'm rubbish at finding the time to send stuff back so would end up keeping it even if I never found the courage to wear it. It's not expensive but I'd rather not waste money!

BUT - all the model pictures are of lovely slim ladies, I'm a VERY busty, 5 foot 2 size 16 and I don't want to look like a big wrapped up sweetie.

Has anyone seen any images of bigger ladies wearing their stuff? Does anyone have any dresses from them and would be willing to post a picture? (clutches at straws - very unlikely I know!)

50's dresses look very good on the busty and the big.

Lady V London is my standby though it's worth noting that they cut for a 50's figure so if you are an apple shape (like me) it's worth sizing up so they will fit your waist then taking in the seams under the arms a bit.

The dress I'm wearing today I bought from a market stall, though the brand is Twisted Sister. I can't find them on the internet so I suspect they aren't still going, the dress is a few years old.

I've also managed to squeeze my boobs into Collectif dresses but I've not liked any of them enough to buy.
