Do you look better naked or dressed?

I don't know if this is a silly question but I look very different naked. I am not fat at all but I am short and carrying a few pounds extra of late. The excess weight is mostly on my bottom but also on my thighs, so much so that my body is very deceiving and I look a million times better when I'm dressed. I am dreading the summer holidays, I don't think even my DH realises how disproportionally fat my thighs are Sad.

I used to look better naked but I think after I had DS I now look better dressed. I haven't really put weight on but my shape has changed.

If I'm entirely honest I would say I currently look my best if one can only see me from the neck up Grin

Dressed - I look pretty thin when dressed (especially if in a mini skirt or skinny jeans) but all wobbly and white and horrible naked.

Dressed. Big, saggy boobs look much better with support. Saying that, I am otherwise happy with my figure at the moment.

Hm, neither good but clothed marginally better

Dressed. I'm quite slim and in proportion but after 2 DSes in 2 years my stomach looks like an elephants scrotum.

wish I had spent my teens in crop tops

dressed. I'm very overweight for my height (despite losing three stone since november ish time) I hate how my body looks naked still Sad

If I'm wearing figure hugging clothes it's about equal. But I do not suit loose, shapeless clothes...

Dressed I get flattering comments on my figure all the time and 'you look like a model' type big-ups (am tall and slim)

Naked my tits are like two oranges in sacks, I am blue-white scary pale, I have stretchmarks to the degree that it looks like Freddie Kreuger has attacked me and my c-section overhang flops out dramatically when I take off my big knickers.

The power of shapewear, clever dressing and fake tan Grin.

I think I look a billion times better dressed. I have moles and cellulite and I just hate my legs and arms with a passion, pale include to look purple and blotchy - apparently I have very good boobs but I think they could be bigger. I would love to look toned and muscular but have zero time to exercise. I think I only look good at 8 stone.

Also had a traumatic experience in a communal changing room with a few friends (none of whom have children) and I saw my friends face and felt like a turd. At the moment I'm a size 10 but look fat without clothes.

Miles better in clothes. I am pear shaped with small boobs. Dressing carefully and with a good padded bra I can create curves that don't exist, and hide my chunky thighs.

Neither, I look at my best by far over the phone.

3 very good sized babies, 3 c-sections, abdominoplasty and hysterectomy all add up to me looking like my bottom half doesn't match the top half. Add to that lovely image, saggy boobs, stretch marks and extra weight and it won't be a surprised to hear I look far better fully clothed!

Oh yes - over the phone is definitely best! I look much taller then too.

Naked. I like my reflection when I'm naked. In clothes I'm not particularly happy with my shape

I look so much better naked.

Am bit overweight, but all in proportion and have nice skin. So apart from the beginnings of cellulite at 40 I don't look too bad.

However dressed I look very hefty, can't get clothes to fit, and no longer knows what suits me.

Fully dressed. In an overcoat. Under the duvet. In the dark. Underground.

I kick ass on the phone.

I think it depends on the clothes. If I've made an effort with work stuff I look ok. With casual stuff I look a shapeless, disheveled mess. I've never got the hang of casual clothes. I blame a long phase of grunge at university. At the weekend I look better naked or in swimwear.

I'm like you OP, short and with a few pounds to lose but in clothes you can't tell. People are always marvelling at how quickly I lost my baby weight (I was back in size 8 clothes within a month of having DD - now 7mo) but what they don't realise is that my clothes are hiding major cellulite on my thighs, and love handles which I can't get rid of. I'm working hard on toning up though as I'm fed up of being disappointed by my reflection when I get undressed!

If dressed I look better in winter clothes - I can never get summer clothes right.

Naked. Particularly from the front. Not sure about the back view tbh, but I'm not so keen on my rear view clothes either. I work out a lot and think I look ok for getting on to my mid 40s. I am also finally reaping the benefit of small boobs- they haven't sagged.

I've been doing a life drawing class for the last few years and it's been an eye opener. We've had models of varying shape and size, large and small and they've all looked completely different clothed. They were all normal people with flaws and imperfections but my god, the human body is beautiful.

Neither. Hate what I see when I look in the mirror. So try not to very often. I think if I could work out what shape I am I might be able to dress better. But then I'd have to look in the mirror more.
