Olive skin - best foundation?

sorry I know it's probably been discussed already but I am having a mare getting a good match for my skin. I use 'cendre' in the chanel vitalumiere range but it's not a perfect match: I have tried Laura Mercier, EL doublewear, Lancome, Bobbi Brown....I am at my wits' end Sad.

My skin is olive, but not especially dark, and a bit sallow. I need advice please! I can't even do the colour of your veins thing, as they look both green AND blue to me.

TIA

I think Nars Sheer Glow would be a good bet for your skin.

I can also highly recommend Illamasqua Skin Base as it 1. is fab and 2. has just about the widest range of shades I've ever seen in a foundation.

Maybe a trip to those counters?

Thanks EyelinerQueen, I will check those out. I have not even heard of Illamasqua!

If I could get a half shade lighter than Cendre, I would be a happy woman!

In either Cinnamon or Nutmeg.

I have dark olive skin and I find MAC very good. I use a tinted moisturiser from there.

No7 are surprisingly good too. I went there after an awful experience with a bobbi Brown saleswoman. on MNers recommendations actually
They made me feel great and I now use their light coverage foundation in deeply honey.

Try EX1 Cosmetics Invisiwear foundation. It was formulated by an Asian beauty editor and the colours are specifically for olive skin tones. I wear a mix of F300 and F400 (normally Bobbi Brown Honey/MAC NC40/42)

Good value too at £10/11 a bottle. I buy from Lookfantastic.com where they often have 10-20% off

How about Max Factor in Golden? Might be a little pale depending on how dark you are.

Or these are good and the seller sent me free samples of other colours when I bought mine - they have warm olive, light olive or sunny saffron which might suit you

Also, this isn't a sure thing by any means but if you do find a match, this website suggests other possibilities
