Skechers Go Walk

I bought some black Go Walk 2 slip ons after seeing them recommended on here. They're very very comfortable but they look like my dad's slippers!
Has anyone got the Go Walk ballet pumps or the more 'trainer-y' looking ones with laces? are they as comfortable (and wide fitting) as the originals?

I don't have the ballet flats but my God are Go Walks comfortable! I have the ones that look like deck shoes. Like walking on marshmallows.

They're brilliant aren't they? But ugly Smile
I wish I'd had them when we went to Vegas & walked for hours. My feet were screaming!

Not Go Walk but skechers Bobs are incredible. They look like supergas but have a memory foam insole. Wore a brand new pair for 2 days straight (about 18 hours) walking round New York a couple of weeks ago. Super comfy right up to the end, love them. Skechers also donates new shoes to children in need with every pair you buy, even better!

I'm really disappointed - ordered off Internet, did as adviser and sized down... They are too narrow and I can't squeeze my feet in!

Curse my wide feet!

I also ordered crocs ballet pumps which likewise I sized down for and which fit and are comfy. These definitely fit the wider of foot... They look surprisingly good as well Blush

Thanks ladies. I like my Go Walk but because I'm a size 8 they do look like old man shoes. Fine for work but not for actually going out where there's normal people.
I'll have a look at the Bobs & the Croc pumps.

I heard they get smelly, is that true? I don't have sweaty feet normally mind you.

I got these a few weeks ago, and they're fab. Skechers shops seem to stock the Skechers USA range, which you can't buy online from the UK (they don't ship outside the USA). I got these from the Skechers shop in Leeds

Ooh they look quite nice. Thanks. I'll have to find out where I can go.

Those are cute. I'm planning to buy another pair, but am looking for a slip on. The Skechers' store here is called 'Finish Line' and they usually have a pretty good variety, if anyone is visiting the US for a shopping spree. LOL

The Go Walks are my 'Disney shoes', so they get lots and lots of daily mileage put on them. I've never had a problem with them stinking, but I spray my feet with antiperspirant first so they don't sweat.

As far as the lack of, erm, 'fashion sense', when it comes to places where you have to walk miles and miles, I'll take 'function over form' any day!

I have two pairs of the Go Run - I do occasionally use them for running but I do find them very comfortable for walking. I like the bright colours although it can be difficult to find something that doesn't clash with them - I have a blue/white and orange/grey pairs.

MonterayJack · 13/06/2014 16:09

Go Walks are fine in the washing machine BUT mine still whiff after a 40 degree wash. They are incredibly comfy but I don't think I'd want to wear them on holiday somewhere hot because they are too warm/sweaty. I don't have sweaty/hot feet generally but these are nylony and have no airflow, so I feel way too warm in them.

Sunnyfeet · 13/06/2014 16:33

I've just found: www.shoebuy.com - an American website selling Skechers USA, but they will ship to the UK. This gives a far wider range of the less ugly Skechers!

AcrossthePond55 · 13/06/2014 16:54

For 'whiffy' shoes, try stuffing them with newspaper and putting them in a plastic bag for a few days. Worked on my son's absolutely nuclear waste toxic rugby boots.

Glitterfeet · 13/06/2014 17:39

I love Go Walk it's like walking on clouds.

I have some of the slip on ones, I only wear them camping and in the garden. They are a couple of years old and a boring blue with very white soles. The new colour schemes look nicer.

The trainer ones with laces look much better. They're my walking around shops and museum shoes.

I'm thinking of getting some of the black ballet ones with the little strap as a summer version of the trainer ones.

So true. We climbed up the steep path on Mount Idi to visit Mount Zeus cave, and the Go Walk were perfect for it. They are also perfect for scrambling over rocks at the beach. Mine washed beautifully in the washing machine and don't smell, in spite of walking around archaeological sites in 34 degree heat.

I do wish there were shoes as comfy as the Go Walks but with a bit more style.

Bunbaker · 13/06/2014 17:44

I'm off to the shopping mall tomorrow. There is a Sketchers shop there that I think I might visit Grin
