First date outfit panic!!!

I'm keen to impress. I'm just under 6', size 10-12, good legs, 40.

The problem is that it's winter here and I only own two pairs of boots (too cold for anything else). Which combo would look the most flattering/least last-season for a casual-but-trendy bar:

• brown leather boots, flat, just under knee length + either skinny jeans OR dress with tights
• brown suede ankle boots, small heel + either skinny jeans OR dress with tights

I have no jeans other than skinnies, and no time/$$ to get any. :(

I would suggest to go for the first...........good luck.

It depends whichever outfit you feel most comfortable and least self-conscious in! If you can forget what you're wearing and just get on with the flirting, you'll certainly impress.

Btw, all options sound equally good (however, I have no idea about "this season, last season" in fashion and cannot imagine having any fun with a man to whom these things really matter).

Would the tall boots be better with a dress, or skinny jeans and nice top, do you think?

Just feel like last-year's woman. :(

Good point...I doubt he knows or cares, it's prob just me being paranoid.

So knee-length flat brown boots with a mid-thigh length dress sounds okay? I always feel more comfortable in dresses, tbh, but I don't know if dresses and long boots are a bit old-hat.

Another vote for wear the outfit you feel most comfortable in. It'll show in your body language.

You're tall and slim. Bet you'll look gorgeous in a black bag!
