I now have beautiful straight teeth!

I just wanted to share how amazing the Inman Aligner orthodontic treatment is (I don't work for them or anything, just impressed!) My teeth were horribly misaligned and one really stuck out at the front. After just four months they are almost completely straight- another four weeks and my treatment will be finished Smile. I looked at Invisalign, train tracks but decided on this and it has worked so well and was much cheaper than other options... Bonus is that nobody has realised I'm doing it as it's removeable so perfect for my vanity.

I promise I have no vested interest in this but after years of debating orthodontic treatment I kept panicking and deciding against but finally went for it. Dh is now asking when I'm booking in my next 'treatment' but think I'll stick at pretty teeth for now. I'm off to smile in some photos now Grin

Know the feeling! I am having my 'railway tracks' (but with clear brackets and only on my horrendously crooked lower teeth) OFF next month. Cant wait. Its been 18 months, but am SO glad I did it.

Looking forward to feeling less self conscious, smiling more often etc. i am treating myself to a whitening treatment when theyre off. Yay.

It's lovely isn't it, after thirty years I don't hate my teeth any more! I asked about whitening yesterday and need to wait a few months until my teeth are bedded in to there new position but I'm definitely going for it then. My bottom teeth aren't great either but I can live with then

How much has it cost you if you don't mind me asking?

NeatFreak · 11/06/2014 11:52

It's around £1200. I go for check ups every month and pay a bit off the balance every time so didn't need to find it before starting treatment but I'm not sure if all dentists offer this option.

Do you need to wear a retainer afterwards to stop them moving back ?

squoosh · 11/06/2014 11:58

Wow £1200 is pretty cheap! I was looking into Invisalign but the cost seems a bit prohibitive at the moment.

I wore braces for 3 years as a teenager to straighten my teeth but they've gone crooked again over the years. I'd love to get them straight again.

IWillYeah · 11/06/2014 12:01

My treatment was £1200, too, but in installments over 18 months, so it wasnt a scary cost. i will have to have retainers for a while.

DowntonTrout · 11/06/2014 12:20

That's really interesting.

I also had braces as a teen but feel my teeth were pulled in too much. Since my wisdom teeth came in my lower teeth have become particularly crowded and are crossing over. It's a struggle even to floss between them.

I have looked into orthodontic work but it's £3-4000 and I'm not sure it's worth it. Just had a look online and the nearest place that does these is in another town. Has anyone else on here used this method?

NeatFreak · 11/06/2014 12:24

I will wear a retainer for three to four months then have a wire fixed to the back of my teeth to stop them from moving back! think this might be optional but I would like it done. It really doesn't hurt at all but it is difficult to talk with it in, which I think is the only drawback..I have photos but my teeth were so bad before that I am too embarrassed to post them Blush

Congrats! Me too - 12 months in ceramic braces and my teeth have been very straight since almost the first couple of months. I'm having surgery so it's a bit more complicated but my teeth and bite will be amazing when I'm done - I can't wait!

DowntonTrout · 11/06/2014 12:29

Oh. I would like to see the photos.

I was upset the other day that a great photo with friends was spoiled (for me) because all I could see was my teeth. I suspect no one else notices, at least no one has ever said anything, but I do.
