Hi ladies, this is my first time posting here so firstly Hi, anyhow i hope I can get dome advice formula all, had Botox over 2 weeks ago, but I aloud my anxiety get the better of me convinced myself it would go eying and every symptoms I was having was because of Botox, these are all in my head exaggerated by my anxiety, now if u look in the mirror and if I'm really honest it looks good, now that the 2 weeks is up doc recommends a little tweek, but scared I'll feel anxious again?? but on other hand would love it as it really has taking a lot of the stress of my face and I look more refreshed. So do I go back and face my fears or just let it wear of and be fine with it? It was suppose to make me feel better as had a very stressful year?? any advice, and I apologise for rambling on.

what are you actually asking?

Bambina74 · 10/06/2014 23:32

Hi troymcclure, firstly sorry about the typos, I suppose I'm asking do I go back and get the top up or do I let it wear off? Just means my anxiety wins and shops me doing something that I really wanted and feel deserve after the difficult fee months I've had I suppose it would be nice to hear from others who've maybe had it fine and also felt nervous the first time also ??

You need the top up as it's really more for the practitioner to check how the first dose had worked and if it's balanced well between different areas - they will tweak to perfect it..

Merriboo · 11/06/2014 09:12

trust your doctor and follow their recommendations

Bambina74 · 11/06/2014 09:36

Thanks for the advice, and I know youse are right, I just let first time nerves get the better of me :-( which is a pity as it looks great and i know it could look slightly better, think ill ring the doc, if I don't go back now I'll never go back, thanks ladies

If yore having this sort of anxiety about botox, I'd day lay off it and dont have it again. Cosmetic procedures and anxiety dont go well together. What if after the top up you dont like the effect? Or next time you go?

holdyourown · 11/06/2014 10:59

I wouldn't bother because I think your next source of anxiety would be 'did I have too much'
maybe you'd be better off to spend the money on a relaxing facial, or massage or reflexology etc instead

HappyGirlNow · 11/06/2014 11:02

But it's not always to give ot a stronger effect it's to tweak what's been done if it's off-balance. OP has started the process she should go back for it to be checked over!

She can then never have it again if she so wishes...

IWillYeah · 11/06/2014 11:06

'Tweaking' always involves having more!

I'm not anti-botox. I have it myself. I just think if the OP is this stressed about it, maybe its not for her?

HappyGirlNow · 11/06/2014 12:33

More in bits it may be required to make the overall effect look normal!

FoxyHarlow123 · 11/06/2014 12:54

If you think the result looks good and you're happy with it, don't go back. A 'top up' is usually to tweak bits, such as spocking. Try not to over think it. You had it done. You liked it. Result!

Bambina74 · 11/06/2014 13:27

Thank you all for your opinion, I'm suppose to go back to have it tweaked it's just above one eyebrow she said I'll be done in 2 seconds, I think if I leave it will bother me more as there slightly of balance, I think anxiety had already built up over the rough time id been through do it was something else I'd convinced myself would go wrong, ( even though it didn't ) again thanks for all the advice.:-)

RonaldMcDonald · 11/06/2014 13:48

Go have it tweaked

the anxiety may be a constant but at least your eyebrows will be even

Bambina74 · 11/06/2014 16:42

Thanks everyone booked in for the morning so hopefully get it over and done with, so I can stop thinking about and just enjoy it, at least I don't look like I've been anxious ;-)
Thanks again
