Workwear woes - blouses for suits

StepfauxWife · 10/06/2014 21:07

I've returned to work after maternity leave and have treated myself to some new clothes because all my old work clothes are too tight

I'm looking for tops to wear with suits that are't high necked - motherhood has left me with enormous boobs so ideally I need v-necks. I'd prefer sleeves of some length as I work in quite a conservative office. T-shirts are a no no for the same reason.

Any ideas? I seem to be drawing a blank every where I look!

Anyone?

Amari v neck maybe?
here

Hmm that's lovely but probably not smart enough to wear with a suit. Also I'd prefer not to tuck it in as my tummy is still a little pot-like!

Seems to be impossible. Hmm

pepperberry - 2 pages - maybe something here?

I have several of their blouses and I love them - fit well on the bust but don't make you look fat round the middle! Their sizing is pretty unique - details are on the website. Works well for me! (I am a size 16 bust but a 12 everywhere else.)

www.marksandspencer.com/v-neck-long-sleeve-blouse/p/p22304553 I keep looking at these in the shop but haven't bought one

StepfauxWife · 12/06/2014 20:35

These are luscious, thank you! Love the Boden and Massimo Dutti ones. Will check out the M&S one too. I'm just reluctant to have a top that's too tucked in so I don't show off my belly.

I've just bought these skirts so am looking for something lovely to wear on top that isn't a boring V neck jumper.

Lovely skirts - hope you do find a good top to wear with them.

jimmybim · 14/06/2014 18:35

Whistles could work for you - you don't have to tuck them in
ivory
another option
pink

jimmybim · 14/06/2014 18:35

sorry also meant to say nice skirts!

StepfauxWife · 14/06/2014 21:22

Thanks all! Smile I just want to feel good even though I'm two sizes bigger than this time last year.

I love Whistles so will take a look at those options, thank you!

I really like the first link - that Melodie silk shirt is lovely. Slightly sheer (as per most silk shirts), but elegant.

StepfauxWife · 15/06/2014 18:59

I didn't get a chance to pop into whistles this weekend but hope that blouse is still available. I reckon I could just about get away with it being untucked.

Have just seen that the LK Bennett sale has started so hope there are some gems there!

Oh the LK Bennett shoes are some of my favourites. Gorgeous. The clothes are beautiful quality, too. Good luck.
