red lipstick everyday if over 40??

I read this thing about how women over 40 can get away with red lipstick everyday (almost) and wondered if that's true?

I think there might be something in it? I don't live in the UK though and do wear makeup everyday.

What do you think and which one for me I have dark blond hair, green eyes? (and am blue toned skin apparently)

thanks

Don't see why not. I use a Rimmel lip butter in candy apple. That's quite a subtle red shade for everyday I think

I have recently started wearing it, aged 43. Tried several times in the past, but never felt happy in it. Now, for some reason, I'm loving it. Perhaps it's age, perhaps it's the righ lipstick? I have Nars Manhunt, which was eye wateringly expensive, but when I add up the wasted ones I've bought in the past...

No idea what my skin tone is. I have dark brown hair, pale freckled skin and grey green eyes.
