This is on the fashion pages. Never before have I seen such an ugly outfit.
It also totals 1700 which is hilarious to me.
The models expression says it all.

But if you are eg Uma Thurman or Keira Knightly, you might get away with it.

Horrid. I can see someone maybe getting away with it if they were a total fashion victim 6 foot tall, platinum blonde waif but can you imagine an ordinary, mumsy type of person wearing that? On the school run, say? Or for nipping to Tesco?

The shirt could work well with trousers I agree but so could any white shirt that wasnt over five hundred smackers!!

Yes me too. If so one told me that shirt was from h and m I wouldn't bat an eyelid. What on earth do people earn who can pay that much for a white shirt!!

The top might not be so bad, with skinny jeans or maybe tailored grey cigarette trousers for work. But with that skirt....!

If you put it on an average woman and walked her down the street, everyone would assume she'd made some bad choices at the chazza shop.

Presumably the faux leather is for ethical rather than cost-cutting reasons? Stella's mum was the noisy famous twentieth century vegetarian.

It does look like an outfit that the midweek shoppers in m&s wear to look respectable. But on a waif-like model it just looks ridiculous.

The sandals are the ugliest part of the outfit. They look like something my 71yo, and not noted for fashion sense, mother would wear.

The skirt is a pretty colour, but Frumparama! I'm not sure what you could wear it with to look less frumpy. In fact, it looks like the kind of skirt my 82yo MIL would wear with a baggy t shirt.

The shirt is attractive, but expensive.

Surely the point of spending so much on clothes is not to "get away with them", but for them to look lovely?

Whilst I agree about the outfit, I don't think spending £18 on a dress is any better, ethically speaking.
