What are these spots?

I've started to get big spots along my jaw and on the side if my neck. The are raised, and a darkish red, but never come to a head and stay for weeks. I attacked one when it was really big and it felt that there was pus in it but no amount of squeezing (I know, I know) shitfted any.

They aren't sore.

It sounds like cystic acne but if they're not sore I'm not sure.

Mine is hormonal so gets worse around my period but takes weeks to clear. The only thing that has worked so far is a topical antibiotic from the GP, and changing my shampoo (have a short bob, I think the residue product on my hair was making my skin worse)

One was sore but the others don't seem to be.
I've had a hysterectomy and I'm on hrt but its been nearly 3 years, so wouldn't have thought hormonal.
Off to google cystic acne

I am suffering with spots like this awfully at the moment. I actually went to my gp yesterday about it and he prescribed a roll on antibiotic and put me onto a different contraceptive pill, yasmin that he says helps to reduce acne. The antibiotic roll on is fantastic. Stings like hell but I can see its reducing the spots already. I will find the name for you in a minute.

Zineryt. That's the one?

Cocolepew · 07/06/2014 19:49

Had a google but it's not as severe as cystic acne.
I've been getting sore boobs like I did before periods so my hormonal balance might be off.

Hmm I've looked up side effects of medication I'm on and it could be that.
