Good value nail polish

I'm looking for a good quality nail polish which won't break the bank if there is such a thing. I'm thinking Essie or Boots NO7. Has anyone tried these and are they good value?

I wouldn't class them as cheap at £7 a bottle! Grin
No7 is okay... The brush is at a strange angle which makes application difficult and they chip after one-two days depending on the colour. Essie is pretty good although i'vr had cheaper polishes that have lasted longer.
Mua do little mini dupes of them for £1 a bottle. They are easy to apply and last three- four days without chipping. Only downside is still a fairly small colour selection.

Is there a particular colour you are looking for and i can recommend a brand specifically?

I haven't used Essie but I did try No7 a few years back and the long brush really annoyed me ( the bottle was tall so the whole brush was covered in polish no matter how much I twirled it round the rim). (The online reviews are only 3/5 stars)

I love OPI polishes , they last ages and I like the brushes, though the tiny bottles are better on my nails.

Barry M get good reviews but not for me.

At £4.49 I think this RimmelSalon Pro nail polish is really good value.

It goes on all thick and smooth and is glossy and expensive looking.

I like Barry M, goes on smoothly and lasts a while for me at least.

I find the Avon Nail Pro Plus I think it's called to be good. It's usually half price so £3 a bottle.

Or failing that get the ones that come with magazines, Red has a free Mavala nail polish with it at the minute and I'm sure there is another magazine with one - I never pay for Nails Inc ones as always get them with mags or strangely once a fab red colour free with toothpaste.

Thanks for your replies. I want dark red,Brown and medium pink that's not too bright.

I think Rimmel are the best of the cheaper brands. Not impressed with Barry M, No 7 or Mua.
