I am quite excited. Just waiting for my boots delivery then gonna do it later. Shall I leave the socks on for the hour?

Well, they recommend you don't so that you don't damage your skin (I've certainly been guilty of picking a bit too much and ending up with sore feet). I don't think you need to though, it's all peeling on its own now!

Yep definitely nothing going on. Really disappointed! Poor me.

I'm mesmerised by those pictures! I want to peel my heels too!

I managed to wear sandals today as they mostly just look all dry. I'll soak again later and I expect loads more skin will drop off :)

Sacbina and just, have you tried soaking for ages. An hour or more, to see if it kicks things off?

I am disappointed too Sad My feet are flaking rather than peeling in big chunks and the really dry manky bits (cracked heels, balls of feet) aren't peeling/flaking at all! Rubbish!

I was really hoping that this would be the answer to my perennial issue of manky feet that would not involve hours filing/scraping/moisturising but it clearly isn't.

What did I do wrong??

I've never heard of this. It does sound a bit terrifying. Not sure I'm brave enough to see half my feet falling off.

I have just done mine... left on for 1.5hrs... my hooves feet are waiting with anticipation for peeling next week..

I did this about a month ago and forgot I had done it. One evening about a week later I was in the shower and my feet felt weird like I couldn't feel the bottom properly! When I got out and was dry my feet were just a crumpled mess of skin and it was falling off in huge chunks everywhere. My dp was following me with a mini hoover! It did this for about 3 days and then stopped and my feet look amazing

been soaking every night for at least an hour. left it on for nearly 2 hours knowing my hard skin was like cement. the only thing I didn't do was soak before applying. bugger

The instructions didn't say soak before applying?? Where did you read that sacbina

Report
noddyholder · 13/06/2014 15:32

I didn't soak before or after?????

Report
sacbina · 13/06/2014 16:13

think I read it on this thread after I'd put mine on.

Elledouble · 13/06/2014 17:53

I didn't soak mine either but they're peeling like bastards now!

Report
JenniMoo · 13/06/2014 18:36

I don't think it said to soak before. It just said that soaking speeds it up, I assumed that meant soaking after.

Late to this thread but I did mine last Sunday evening too. Have had dry feet since then, very much like the pic above but not much else. Till this afternoon, when I took off my canvas shoes that I had been wearing without socks (nice and sweaty) - as I stepped barefoot on the tiles it felt like I left half my feet behind! Don't lose faith, it may yet happen.

I am sitting in my footners! This thread and a guy at work (v enlightened) combinced me... Too impatient to do the Vaseline thing, and now worried I'll have to wear boots all of next week at work... And taking the DDs swimming tomorrow morning. But when would it be a good time to get hobbit feet? [praying get hobbit feet]. Am leaving on for an hour. Feet up to get gel stuff to mingling heels. Will report back.

Aaagh at all of you saying half your feet fell off - I am so Envy !! I need half of my feet to fall off as they are disgusting but I am just getting flaky sh*t instead Angry Just sat with my feet in the bath for 10 minutes but it hasn't made much difference!

have just been soaking for an hour and things are ahem, afoot!
had a little rub of the flaky bits on the sole and they came away easily. had a little rub on the hooves and they too have started to loosen with a bit of a vigorous rub.

going to let them dry and then inspect

oh what a Friday night!

Yay! Try not to rub too much as mine feel a little sore if I do.

Mine arrived in the post today from Boots and I'll probably do it tomorrow night or Sunday. :)

Someone's already mentioned it but another tip to get things moving is to have a day in a nice sweaty pair of shoes! Get them nice n sweaty in something stinky and it'll do the biz for any non-peelers.
