Anyone knowledgeable about maternity clothes around?

I need some work trousers, which don't cost a fortune (but I will consider paying more for good quality) and are not completely polyester. I don't mind jersey type fabric but hate the plasticky shiny feeling most cheaper trousers have.

I prefer boot cut styles (I'm slim but with a big bum and calves so skinny trousers look awful on me), and would like them to have an "over bump" band in the trousers rather than the kind that sit under the bump.

Any help is much appreciated . Smile

Mamas and papas are very good. Next do a work wear maternity section online.

New look not brilliant quality to be honest.

Mothercare is ok, not sure if they do work trousers though.

H&m do a maternity section too

M&s also have maternity section but mostly stocked online

I had a nice pair of linen trousers from new look of all places not from the maternity section but they had a really thick waist band similar to those found on sports trousers with a drawstring through it I teamed these with a bump band from mothercare for most of my pregnancy I found it so comfy as I could make adjustments easily throughout the day

Everything that I have bough from here (JoJoMama) over the years has been good quality, washed well etc.

Thank I'll check all these out. I've noticed nowhere near me seems to have a maternity section in stores, which is quite annoying!

Have you tried Isabella Oliver? I avoided them all the way through my first pregnancy because of the price... Then threw a massive hissy fit at about 36 weeks at how shit I looked All The Time and decided that that was the point to splash out. Duh.

However. The clothes are brilliant. I didn't buy many but they saw me through post-partum too, then through my second pregnancy. I felt good in them (I felt like sponge bob square pants in everything else). Then, as I mostly bought in the outlet/sales, I ebayed them for almost as much as I paid for them. The jeans I wore for 4 years straight until the waistband admitted defeat.

There are some lovely trousers on there at the moment. They're usually cut under bump but are really comfy (and avoid roll-down as your bump gets biiiiig).

I don't work for them, I promise! I should do. I LOVE them.
