I'm coming to the conclusion that a coat is probably the most important item in my wardrobe, summer or winter, since it's freezing here most of the time. Who has seen some great spring/summer coats? Most recently I bought a nice one from Whistles but that was about 6 years ago and I lived abroad in the meantime where no coat was needed. Probably knee length is best so that colour doesn't have to coordinate with what's underneath, but the right shorter jacket would work too.
