My cleanser is about to run out and i'm considering my options. Have read a little bit on here about OCM and HC and wondering which way to go or even to just try a different brand.
Background: age 44, currently use MD formulations cleanser at night to remove make up and always double cleanse. Wash face with LRP face wash after the gym in mornings. Skin probably normal, was always greasy but becoming drier in the last year. Suffered from hormonal acne along the jawline for a year for which I'm using Zineryt from the GP. Dont mind spending money.
What would be your recommendation? OCM, HC or brand change? Would OCM or HC see me go through a 'rough patch'.

I am stuck with your abbreviations :)

OCM? HC? LRP?

Sorry. OCM Oil Cleansing Method. HC Hot Cloth cleansing and LRP La Roche Posay brand.

I use an oil based cleanser ( Anita grant ) that I remove with a hot cloth so it's both!

I love it - cheap, no stinging, no nasty chemicals, removes makeup, doesn't cause zits, leaves my skin feeling soft not tight...

What's not to like?

I have quite dry skin and get the odd pimple when my period is due, so not a million miles away from your skin.

Any cream cleanser can be used for HCC. My current fave is Alpha H balancing cleanser.

Didn't like Emma Hardies balm, not all aromatherapy oils suit all people. Too rich for me and I broke out bigtime :(

I use liz earle hot cloth cleanser and just love it.

I use avocado oil with a hot cloth for dry sensitive skin. It is better than any official cleanser I have ever used.

I get hormonal cystic acne on my jaw line and oil cleansing broke me out badly

Liz Earle gave me lots and lots of tiny white bumps under the surface of my skin

Best for me is hc with No 7 cleansing balm (not really a balm, more a rich cream cleanser) or the Good Things honey cleanser which I have just started using.

Soap and Glory Peaches and Clean is good but a little drying for me.

Thats useful purplepenguin I really dont want to get spotty. Thinking of going down the HC route.
