I live east, but haven't trusted anyone local yet. For more complicated or expensive pieces I go to alterations boutique in marylebone. Otherwise I've used sew and go (they are a chain, Victoria will be the closest I think). Both not cheap but definitely have done good jobs.

Ah sew and go have closed in Victoria. The west hampstead one I've used too (but it's a trek fro east london!)
