Recommend me a red lipstick please

Hi all
I have very light blonde hair (the shade is by Claudia Schiffer - unfortunately I don't look like her). and I have a fair / slightly tanned complexion. Not orange.

I've always worn pink lippy but it's my birthday in a week and I would love to wear a red lipstick for the first time ever.

Can I?
And what shade do I go for?
Any recommendations would be fab!

I like Revlon Lip Butter in Candy Apple. It's sort of sheer but still red. Not too heavy, which I hate...

Revlon just kissable lipbalm in Romantic or Mac Ladybug-both very wearable not too harsh reds. I am cool toned and am supposed to avoid these one's like the plague-too warm apparently-but I have never found other reds that don't make me look like death and I have tried LOTS!!

Check out mac. You can really notice the difference with their lipsticks they are very moisturising and stay on. Plus they have some lovely shades

I really like Soap and Glory Man Trap. It's lovely and soft, and tastes nice too!
