And my resting face looks great - smooth forehead, brows nicely arched. However, when I raise my eyebrows, I look DEMENTED. Like Ming the Merciless.

It's only been a few days. Should I go back, or will it settle in? I asked him to retain some lift, as I was terrified of brow-droop, but equally, I don't want to spend the next six months looking like I'm up to no good.

Or Oxfordshire? I am looking at either Botox or dermal fillers.. or just something to decrease my hideous lip lines. There is a clinic near me in Witney but not sure how good it is!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 31/05/2014 14:14

I started having it for migraine early 30s, now I'm older I have it in crows feet too. Just a tiny bit can make a huge difference.

ggirl · 31/05/2014 14:46

can anyone with reccy in hants pm me?
chocolou or browtox

and why do we have to pm can we not just put names on the thread?

MrsCampbellBlack · 31/05/2014 15:17

Have pm'd.

ExcuseTypos · 31/05/2014 15:24

I'd also like recomendations for Hants/wilts. Thank you.

Coumarin · 31/05/2014 15:52

Can we not post the recommendations on here? It's bit advertising is it? Same as recommending a lipstick or a hair dresser.

Coumarin · 31/05/2014 15:52

not advertising

golfergirl28 · 31/05/2014 16:26

In or near Glasgow, please?

bloomingheather · 31/05/2014 16:39

Me too golfergirl - recommendations for someone with a light touch in Glasgow. Have seen some advertised (was scared off by one particular advertisement where the person who owns the clinic is clearly a bit hung ho with the Botox needle) and know who to avoid Smile.

bloomingheather · 31/05/2014 16:40

Erm, gung ho! I have no idea how hung he is and have absolutely no interest in finding out!

ResponsibleAdult · 31/05/2014 16:58

Just tried this, it's fantastic. Previously my furrowed forehead made me look cross, which I wasn't. I asked for minimal intervention as I didn't want Mr Spock eyebrows and a frozen face. All my face still moves but everything is just less wrinkly, I look younger and more rested. I even selected which lines to keep in order to make it look more natural. The best cosmetic work shouldn't look like you've had anything done. Really pleased

Parentingfailure · 31/05/2014 17:08

Looking for Notts/Leics recommendations if anyone has one?

Coumarin · 31/05/2014 18:13

Sounds perfect responsible I fear that surprised look. Just want the slight frowny bit smoothed out. It's barely there so don't want much.

ProjectGainsborough · 31/05/2014 18:24

Medusa my guy is close-ish to you. I'll let you know how the follow up goes.

I looked at the Witney clinic, but wasn't convinced, for some reason.

I also had a good initial consultation with Radiance in Woodstock. She was really thorough and chatted through all my concerns (and her face was amazing)... there was no reason I didn't book with her, other than it seemed a bit ££.

Browtox - please could you pm me your rec in Wiltshire? Thanks.

Plus if anyone else has got one for Swindon area please.

GatoradeMeBitch · 04/06/2014 17:59

ProjectGainsborough I would appreciate a PM too if you wouldn't mind! I'm in Oxon, and starting to think about botox!

HaveAGoodDay · 04/06/2014 20:15

KenDoddsDadsDog - can i ask you how did you find the Botox helped with your migraines? I suffer from daily chronic migraines & have been seeing a dr/professor at either a clinic or more recently at a hospital for around two years now ( albeit appts few & far between) & botox has been mentioned but seems to be two steps forward, three steeps back! Just keep chucking more pills at me!

KenDoddsDadsDog · 04/06/2014 20:24

It has been really good - can't recommend it enough. I still have the odd one but not the chronic daily hormonal ones. I still get milder headaches but that I can work through. I get migraine with no aura and it also stops me causing them by scrunching my face.

Moggy72 · 04/06/2014 23:15

Very tempted. dh is against though ... So would have to be in secret. Can't stand my forehead lines. Any recs in Central London ?

peasandlove · 05/06/2014 10:00

mine lasts about 10 weeks. You ladies who say it lasts 6 months or more are very lucky. I also gym a lot and apparently you can metabolize it pretty quickly (if you're a runner or whatever) So for those of you who are keen to get on the botox wagon, it might cost you more than you initially think

noddyholder · 05/06/2014 10:46

Just had this morning have decided to stick with half dose as it lasts the same time and he has charged me less! Looks much better too.

BelindaAllWorkedOut · 05/06/2014 12:46

No good London recommendations? I might call that clinic and do some googling. Will report back if I make any progress.

ProjectGainsborough · 06/06/2014 21:21

Well, I went back to the clinic and the doctor was lovely and sorted out the crazy brows with no charge. A week on, it looks good!

Details here for those that were interested.

Apparently the best person to get Botox from is your dentist! My dentist does it but I am happy with my face. far to yellow belly terrified to give it a go Grin

FeedMeWell · 06/06/2014 23:38

I agree with going to a dentist. My dentist in Glasgow is great - really subtle and natural looking.
