Personal shopping - worth it?

Thinking about a 2 hour personal shopping/stylist thing. I have no clue since I had a breast reduction, gained weight and am now starting to exercise again. I'm totally lost.

So is this kind of experience worth it? Has anyone else done this?

Yes I did it at John Lewis a couple of years ago, free of charge and great advice, no pressure to buy anything.

Are places like, House of Fraser and John Lewis better than paying someone? I guess it all depends on the eye of the stylist?

Top Shop don't for free too. And there is no pressure on you to actually buy anything either.

I'd try it for free first if I were you. Yes it depends on the stylist but she will spend time getting to know you and what you are looking for, likes/dislikes, is it for work, social occasions, weekends, specially event etc.

Also, John Lewis is good as they have so many different concessions in store so lots of different options to choose from.

(Oh and free latte and pastries lol.)

Just found out Bicester Village also do this which would coincide with our trip there!

Great, go for it!

My stylist gave me some good tips which I still stick to a couple of years later on. (I also took her tips and bought the H&M equivalent to save money...)

I was like you, felt I'd lost my way a bit and needed someone to guide me with some 'rules' and to build a good capsule wardrobe that I could grow in time.
