Bare Minerals causing spots?

I've been using Bare Minerals for about 4 weeks now and my skin has been bloody awful ever since. I usually get a few small spots round my chin and mouth shortly before my period but I've just been plagued with big red lumps including in the middle of my cheeks and I just look shocking. I totally love the coverage and look of Bare Minerals and can't imagine having to go back to something else (esp as I bought the starter kit thing after trying out the tester for a few days and loving it). A quick Google suggests this is relatively common. I am sad. I cleanse with micellar water every night and Clean & Clear everyday scrub in the shower and I use either the BM primer which came in the kit or my usual Poreprofessional primer. Am I going to have to give up the BM? My makeup has never looked so good apart from the horrible spots Sad

Bare Minerals has Bismuth in it which can break some people out quite badly, sounds like you're one of them. Good news is that not all mineral make up is the same so if you want to stick with that then try other brands, Lily Lolo for example doesn't include bismuth and there are various others if you Google around.

Yes. I bought a BM kit a few years ago. Broke out really badly after only a couple of days. My skin hated it.

You can get bismuth-free mineral makeup - look on etsy. They usually have samples!

Mineral oil is notoriously bad for the skin, and like some

(Sorry!pressed send by accident) like someone above said bismuth oxide is aggravating to the skin... If you want some advice on better products check out my blog: daisydabbles.blogspot.co.uk/ and I'd be happy to suggest other products without the nasties! Spots can be such a pain and really get you down... Let me know!xxx
