What 3 words describe your style?

When writing about decluttering and downsizing your wardrobe, Sheila Chandra, suggested choosing 3 words that typify your style, and only keeping/buying things that fit these words. For example - urban, elegant, classic. What words would you choose?

Boring, boring, boring.

I have items going back 7 years in my wardrobe. I do.not have an actual look but live in jeans and various tops.

If money permitted I would buy:
Maxi dresses (never owned one)
Playsuits/jumpsuits (never owned one)
Quality black and navy jeans
Floral/blue/coral blazer
Fitted leather jacket
Chiffon blouses
Wedges

quirky, different, individual.

Several people I know despair of my dress sense but I don't care and don't let it stop me buying what I like

Funky. Colourful. Bonkers.

something2say · 26/05/2014 10:43

Boho. Young. Floor sweeping!!!

Open up 41.... How about these few ideas?

Immediately chuck out clothes that you know make you look shit. They will never change so stop wearing them. Then, one it = one out?

Also buy good quality second hand designer clothes from dress agencies. Google your nearest ones. Start to collect pictures of looks you are attracted to and see about how you can slowly but surely morph into that look. Have fun!

Thanks for your advice. However, I would be left with very few clothes if I chucked out the ones I do not like.

Do I make do with two pairs of trousers and one skirt for casual?

something2say · 26/05/2014 17:28

Hi open up...I guess not! I just remember that that's what I did when I didn't like my stuff. I got rid of it bit by bit x

clayspaniel for me the definition of chic is pulling an outfit together with clever accessorising and defining your own personal unique style.
