Woolovers... ordered 5 x crew neck cardigans for mum, quality good, colours good old fashioned but good for 80yr old. sizing came up too big... BEWARE you pay for returns (cost me £12) and customer service outdated.. Got quoted 'we have been in business for 25 years we have loyal customers who love our product, know our policies and are very happy with us' !! With that attitude Good luck attracting Internet savvy NEW customers once they all die off!! I say

Their website warns about sizing and it's common sense to check to see if you have to pay for returns, especially with smaller retailers who probably can't get carriers to give them preferential rates which allow them to absorb the cost. But there's no such thing as a free lunch - even with larger retailers you'll pay for the returns, it will just be hidden in the price you pay.

I have to say I agree with killedanotherthread. Always check returns policies and reviews if they have them.

DameDiazepamTheDramaQueen · 22/05/2014 12:53

I have used them a few times - their sizing is unbelievably clear and easy, on every item they give exact measurements plus tell you to size up or down. They also explain to keep the costs down the charge for returns.

The quality is amazing and they are incredibly reasonable - they spell everything out on the website. I would never order 5 of something on a first order if I wasn't sure of sizing and returns.

I am sure the fact that have been in business for 25 years is a reflection on the good customer service I encountered. In fact I'm a relatively new customer and started ordering from them through recommendations on MN.

I think you are being incredibly unreasonable.

I like them - it's just a shame that I only like about 2-3 of the colours - navy, grey and black! All the others are just so 90's!

plasticbanana · 22/05/2014 17:52

I like Woolovers too. But I agree about the colours. I only like the black! I don't even like the 'charcoal' grey which is a sort of schoolboy jumper mid grey. I wish they would try to emulate Brora for colour.

I have just returned 4 cardigans. The material was lovely, but they were HUGE and 2 of the colours were really not as they appeared online.
Having said that I may re-order the black cardigan in a smaller size.
My mother has some lovely Woolover jumpers and is really pleased with the quality and how well they wash.
Agree that the colours are rather "odd".

I luffs woolovers, particuly the chocolate, burnt orange and karki colours. I do tend to keep to the more earthy colours though so don't go for reds or pinks. Sizing well they have the measurements there for all to see, I always order small and even at my lankyness they are always a lovely length to wear. I have never sent an item back so can not comment on their returns policy.

I had a free return when a Medium cardigan had a Small label in it - the lady had me measure it while we were on the phone, said it was wrong, sent a replacement with a return label & I sent it back.

I have quite a few of their silk/cotton V neck cardigans & wish they did a purple one but they don't Sad

Cereal0ffender · 22/05/2014 19:09

I agree martin I waited weeks for a jumper that looked lovely on the website, it was shit and paying to return it was salt in the wound. I won't use them again
