Help! How do I know if this is nightwear or not??

Have wanted one of those chiffon blazer type things for ages. Was over the moon to see one in the asda sale for £5 and it looks much nicer than a lot of the ones I have seen in more expensive shops.

I have a school reunion thing to go to this weekend (unofficial smart/casual thing) and I really wanted to wear it with a pair of nice skinny jeans and boots.

Have just looked at the label though and it's sized as 12-14 not a standard 12 or 14 but between the two. I might be totally paranoid but I'm 99% sure that I've only ever seen nightwear sized like this in asda?

I love it but I can NOT wear it if there is the slightest chance it's actually part of a pj set. Some of the people I'm meeting up with are always dressed well and I already feel a bit intimidated next to them, I thought I had the perfect outfit sorted but now I'm really fretting Sad

Has anyone got the same one that can confirm for me? It's like autumn beiges and browns but blazer style and with black piping around the edges?

I've no idea on the sizing but surely a piped blazer could never be night wear?!

Sounds more like a kimono than a blazer? Sounds fine to me .

Bornintheusa · 20/05/2014 21:39

Yes sorry it probably is more of a kimono. I can't even take a picture as I'm on my phone.

The "piping" is a few inches thick and black.

Wear it with aplomb and you'll be fine.

If you don't know if its pj's or not then no one else will even question it when worn with clothes. Wear it with confidence Smile

My sister bought the same one in size 8-10 dont worry its definitely not nightwear Smile

Those kimono type things seem to be marked 12-14/s-m-l in a lot of shops at the min so I wouldn't worry. If it makes a great outfit, wear it!

Don't worry, Born - those intimidating women won't buy their clothes in Asda Wink, so there's no chance they'll recognise it!

I've got an asda flower kimono 100% sure it's an kimono the Sizing is 10-12.
