Best spring/summer nail polish colours?

I always do my own mani and pedi as I'm skint and am looking for inspiration.

Currently both hands and feet are sporting a dark glossy red but I fancy something that will suit this lovely weather!

What are you wearing on your nails ladies?

I'm wearing Rimmel Rose Libertine - it's a lovely pink, without being too bright.

I also love their coral, it's called in style coral.

I second rose libertine, it's my favourite at the moment. Goes with whatever I wear. I think it might be one of the sixty second drying ones too.
I currently have a kind of red/coral on my toes, I think it is Bikini Red by Revlon. Then I have a pale creamy nude on my fingernails but that looks a bit tatty (I realise having glanced at them) so I will try to find time to re-do them tonight.

Im wearing Barry M Papaya on my toes and MUA Lilac on my fingers but think I'll change them to Barry M Peach Melba later

Barry M Coral is nice and summery. Slightly more expensive, Essie's Watermelon is a really pretty pinky-red that's very flattering.

I bought two amazing shades from models own recently called beach bag and shades respectively. One is a mid neonish pink and the other is a coral/peach neon. Sounds hidious, look absolutely gorgeous. They also have a great really bright neon pink called bubblegum.

I have rose libertine and love the colour but hate the formulation. I wish Essie did a colour matching service a la Dulux.

I bought a neon pink Models Own one last week. Love it.

I wear Maybelline Rose Poudre on my finger nails (perfect pink / beige / grey for me) and seem to favour Revlon Red on my toe nails.

I love the Rimmel Mary Mary quite Contrary, a pale lilac. Pastels are fab for spring!

I need to get some polish, I can't wear it on my hands but I can paint my toenails.
I'm not a fan of the blue/green/orange shades but I need a nice pink shade (I had a really old bottle of OPI "Aphrodities Pink Nightie" which is nearly done now)

I don't find Barry M to be very hard wearing unfortunately

Today I painted my nails with essie ballet slippers and mademoiselle, I love it!

I'm wearing essie Meet Me At Sunset (intense orange). I also love their Too Too Hot (bright coral colour) and Exotic Liras (deep fuchsia pink). Another one i like in summer is Boots no 7 Foxglove.

I've got China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy...... just need the courage to wear it

Essie Chinchilly on my nails. It's a grey/beige/purple combo but quite light so it's perfect until the weather's more summery.

How many days does your polish last?

I rarely paint my finger nails as they chip and I am always doing things with my hands.

As per my thread, I bought gellac polish and it chipped after two days. I even wore gloves to wash up and do housework. I almost cried

I am feeling very unattractive and non feminine at the moment. I just want to look pretty.

Rochiana I don't do my fingers, or if I do it's just a gloss or neutral shell pink - for the same reasons, I am always v busy with my hands and they chip. I just do my toes in bright colours and wear with nice sandals. It may sound a bit trivial but actually doing my feet and toenails in summer does make me feel pretty and gives me a boost.

I just think to myself - my hands have other priorities. I couldn't manage with long, manicured nails - I don't know how people do.

Rochiana do you use a top coat? It helps varnish last longer. Also, the more nail polish you apply, the better you get at it so it's less of a chore. Honest!

Sofishy I do alot of house work. If we had a cleaner and a dishwasher it would help me maintain nice nails.

Every now and then I want to paint them as they make my hands look so much better.
