Summer work shoe help!

I'm a psychologist working on an adolescent in patient ward, which as you can imagine is very hot. My standard outfits are dresses with opaque tights and brogues, or pencil skirts with the same. Can anyone help me with what shoes I can wear in the summer without tights, and where to buy??

Flat d'orsay shoes? The open side is perfect for summer.

Not sure why I suggested flats, rather than heels. Still think d'orsay is the style for summer. You can get them at Kurt Geiger, Office and probably lots of other places. Try shopstyle, searching on "d'orsay" and you should find lots of them.

What about loafers or deck shoes

Elfina · 19/05/2014 16:44

But I worry about hot sweaty feet with no tights/socks??

What are d'orsay?

Flat sandal?
Look at Ecco and Hush puppies for flatish but nice shoes.

It's the style of shoe with a cut out side: "D’Orsay shoes, in which the side or "vamp" of the shoe is cut very close to the sole"

Hmm...loafers are growing on me!!

If you get leather lined they shouldn't get massively sweaty.
