I'm accidentally fussy about shoes.i want it all-practical and comfortable (by which I mean "can walk 4 miles in them then other back on the next day with no blisters").

I have a worrying numberof shoes but mostly trainers for walking and sport, boots for winter, flip flops and unattractive waking sandman for summer. I also own heels but none are every Comfy enough to wear anywhere but on a night out.

I'm looking for a new pair of shoes. Taking into account that I have large flat narrow feet so ballet pumps are 100% out. ... They need to:
-be comfy to walk a few miles in
-be not too warm
-be suitable to cycle in
-be smart enough for work
-not look ridiculous on my huge feet
-look good with cropped trousers

IF anyone fibs me something to suit my criteria I will love you forever. .....

Have a look at Art and Co shoes.

Love the idea of the unattractive waking sandman btw Grin Good old autocorrect!

I've been looking at Fly shoes and sandals but haven't actually tried any on yet. But I think they could fit the bill?

Have you looked at Clarks?

The Art shoes look a bit lentil weavy Confused

Raia · 20/05/2014 10:00

Or what about some chunky loafers or brogues?

HelpMeGetOutOfHere · 20/05/2014 10:43

crocs sandals? (not the clog type ones)

Birkenstock, I can walk for miles in mine and cycle, I also wear mine to work but change for meetings with clients.

next have some nice sandals in the wide fit. tan ones with ankle trap and one strap across the toes.

m&s usually have some more sensible but still nice ones in the summer collections.

Clarks brogues

Raia · 20/05/2014 12:35

chunky tan penny loafer?

WanderingOakensHoohoo · 20/05/2014 12:40

I am just as awkward exacting when it comes to shoes - I've got funny feet and that's just the way it is. I've just bought these from Clarks which are lovely, light and comfy underfoot, but they don't have an adjustable strap so may be too wide if you've got narrow feet.

In which case, ignore me Grin

Clarks Rusty Art?

Raia · 20/05/2014 12:41

Bit pricey but how about a low wedge?

Raia · 20/05/2014 12:44

or a low soft sole clog?

Raia · 20/05/2014 12:48

Lots of nice styles from Fly
