Help me find some new tops

hugoagogo · 18/05/2014 17:42

I am in need of tops I can wear on their own during the summer, so they need to have sleeves- at least 1/2 sleeves as my arms are awful.

I don't want to have to wear a vest, so they can't be see through or too low cut.

I am a 14 ish and very short (so nothing too long) and am not keen on pastels or browns/beiges.

I'd like something with a bit of detail, but not frills, bows or studs.

I need at least 4-so budget is about £15-£20 per item.

I find gorgeous tops in Sainsburys (usually when I'm not looking for clothes Hmm , and IIRC they have a 20% off starting Tuesday )

Or Matalan - nice tops in there, but varies each time I go there.

I was in sainsburys this morning and no joy -also no beef burgers or halloumi- most disappointing.
There was a nice blue one with birds on, but it had short sleeves and it was polyester, which I would like to avoid.

I have got one from matalan and it was £3 too, but not seen anything good since.

Lands end do great tops which wash up really well too.

hugoagogo · 18/05/2014 19:59

I have just ordered a couple of things from landsend-lets hope they fit.

Still looking though...

Have you tried GAP? If you sign up for emails you get discount codes regularly. All kind of tips there and in your price range.

I do get some things from Gap, but have been put off their 3/4 sleeve t shirts as they seem to go saggy and faded very quickly. The only shirt I really liked on their website today has little holes all over it; so no good on it's own.

I keep looking, because some of my favourite things came from there, but They are now worn, old and too big for me.

Not sure about those 2 Loadsa see through bits, manmade fabrics are not really for me, I'm looking for something more casual. Thanks though.

I swear by these from Gap: www.gap.co.uk/browse/product.do?pid=302170197&cid=60760

I have navy, coral and white. I wear them with printed trousers and heels for a smarter look, or dressed down with shorts or harem trousers. They wash really well too.

LoadsaBlusher · 19/05/2014 14:18

Think I may order a few of those Frankie :)

frankietwospots · 19/05/2014 21:19

Excellent! Size down as usual with Gap. I wish they did one in grey!

hugoagogo · 20/05/2014 14:02

Those are nice looking t-shirts, but I fear they may be a bit thin in RL and they have short sleeves. Sad
