Can I wear a bikini?

I really don't want to wear a one piece, or a tankini.

However I do have a horrible belly Blush it is so flabby ... I'm not fat but it's just my stomach!

But we've booked the holiday of a lifetime for September and I'd love to wear a bikini. Any suggestions?

Nocomet - Im the same as you, love water sports and getting stuck in / diving and swimming and that bikini is really good - study enough for most things but still looks like a bikini without making me worry if I have lost my bottoms or top when I come up to the surface of the water.

Where are you going on holiday?

Only very young women will have the body you are imagining. Most mothers will have a wobbly belly.

I live in a holiday destination country and most women on the beach wear bikinis.

If you are off to somewhere as fab as Thailand, get yourself Jillian Michael's 6week6pack dvd (you are already ahead of me if your bum and arms look good!), do it min 3x a week and you will look and feel fabulous. Guarantee it.

I will try it lizzy but I'm not hopeful! Thank you x

op I am the same as you, I carry all my weight on my tummy. I'm a size 8/10 but I've never had the confidence to wear a bikini. I've found tankinis a bit more bearable, although I spend ages worrying it'll roll up!
If you are like me you could do all the crunches etc in the world, but when it's pure fat, there is only so much exercise will do! Good luck x

Fake tan before you go - brown wobbly flesh I think looks fine - whereas white wobble less so. But go for it anyway, hold your head up high and I am sure you will look fine.

Twinklestein · 18/05/2014 16:46

To be honest any bikini is going to 'draw attention to problem areas' no?

I think a 50s style one would be the most flattering for a tummy.

Although if you want to do it the hard way as others have suggested, 3 months is plenty of time to get ripped...

ILoveCoreyHaim · 18/05/2014 16:47

I used to wear a bikini to sunbathe in and I found a lovely skirt with quite a tight high waist which hid my belly a treat. I would just whip the skirt on when going to the toilet bar

Chocamochalatte · 18/05/2014 16:51

God if my stomach looked like that I wouldn't mind treble the amount of stretch marks!!

Chocamochalatte · 18/05/2014 16:54

How about something like this?

Doinmummy · 18/05/2014 16:57

Wear a bikini that you like and sod what anyone thinks . There will be all shapes and sizes around. As my mum used to say to me " noones looking at you love" Grin

ShoeWhore · 18/05/2014 17:03

Just do it!

There will be all shapes and sizes on the beach and no one will care - I guarantee there will be plenty of women with very much less than perfect airbrushed figures.

I used to avoid bikinis but actually I think I look better in them than in a tankini. I quite like a little skirt, shorts or sarong to pop over the top when I'm walking around.

ILoveCoreyHaim · 18/05/2014 17:31

Some high waisted ones here. Seen them on a Google search

MinginInTheRain · 18/05/2014 18:47

I am the same and struggle with this. But I do wear bikinis now and also wear sarongs or long beach dresses for walking about. I am slim but have a very wobbly belly that bloats when I indulge on holiday.

But hey sod it I'm 43 now.. too many years already wasted worrying about what I look like. If I don't wear bikini bow when will I start?? I've had 3 children, my belly is wobbly, sue me.
