Epilating and ingrowing hairs

I have epilated for years. I don't have any hairs on my legs so its underarms and bikini line
I have a new wet and dry epilator which I love
I an getting terrible ingrowing hairs an my bikini line though. I have never had this problem before, what can I do to stop this happening?
