Moisturising tips for ageing neck

Hi

I have never been one to moisturise my face and neck on a daily basis and now at the age of 42, time has finally caught up with me and my neck is suddenly looking aged, tired and has quite defined lines. Feel really self conscious and wondering if there are any particular good creams or oils for the neck? Does anyone recommend bio oil?

Would appreciate any advice. Thanks :-)

Astral does the trick for me. 'I've never tried it but I'm sure bio oil would be good too.

I have Collagen Gel (SBC - Simply Beautiful Cosmetics) that I use as a base layer or in summer, a thick mask overnight (the glamour)
1 litre bottles from QVC (also available in Sallys - I had an online browse)

You can use Bio Oil on stomach stretch marks which are quite sensitive so I reckon you could use it on your neck?

You can get smaller bottles/tubes , you don't need to dive in at a litre Grin

And I have Vit E and Vit C gel (IIRC Vit E heals scars , Vit C to refresh and revitalise) I can 'cocktail' a squoosh of each

Thank you so much

Bear in mind sleepy that
alot of lines are dehydration - an oil doesn't rehydrate but it can seal in water so if you use Bio Oil do it after a shower while your skin is slightly damp. (That's why I like the gels - water based)

And the neck skin gets stretched by the weight of the bust so take your cream right onto the decollete (bust line).

Never too late to start Wink

Watching this thread. There's something about being 40 that makes all this happen!!!

I developed bingo wings over bloomin' night too!

YellowStripe · 18/05/2014 07:46

I once read "necks aren't fussy, just thirsty" so I guess you could try anything!

sleepyhorse · 18/05/2014 09:02

Ha ha... Yep as soon as I hit 40 it all changed - bingo wings, bloated belly etc (that bit doesn't depress me so much though as I know if I really want to I can still do something about it and go to the gym) but worried there's not much I can do with an ageing neck. I will try all the products mentioned above though

sleepy I get my SBC from QVC - I had a looksie at their website , they don't have many face gels in at the moment but there is a Vit ACE gel in stock (I haven't tried it) but you do get a 30 day money back guarantee.

Or the SBC website has free p&p

Or Sally's beautician sells it.

Aldi neck cream really worked for me, but they havent had it in stock for ages, will be stockpiling when itcomes in again....
