eyelash bald patch - what can I do about it?!

After having curled my eyelashes every weekend for 17 years or so I have finally somehow managed to rip a few out (I think - I'm not actually quite sure how they disappeared but I have a space in the middle of my right eyelid where I have suddenly got very few). I don't want to use false ones as they don't curl easily (I go in for a really dramatic curl so squeeze really hard on the curlers which doesn't work with false ones) but really want my real ones to come back quickly! Does anyone have any tips? Are there serums that help with growth etc

Ive had good results with Revitalash but nowhere near as great as they claim. And now ive finished the tube and am in no position to shell out more money the effect does seem to have lessened.
I used it to promote new growth but on fried lashes I got from a bad lash perm. Not sure if they would work if the lashes arent already growing.
Get yourself a heated wand curler, no pinching and no nips!

Wait it out,6 weeks and they'll have grown back in. Good old Vaseline at night is great for lashes.

Vaseline - didn't know that - thanks Dame!

Mswibble - I'll check out revitalash, otherwise I may just have to shut myself in my room until June and call off all social engagements! I doubt heated curlers would be hot enough. I already stand in front of a hairdryer when I'm curling them so the metal gets really hot. I don't think heated ones would be allowed to get as hot as I get mine but I just don't find I get a lasting result with less heat. Thanks though!

I'm surprised they haven't dropped out before now Grin

They will grow back in pretty quickly, I expect.

Ive read on Pinterest that castor oil works wonders on sparse lashes and eyebrows too. Not tried it myself but maybe worth a shot along with the vaseline.

I did this myself with my eye curler last year. if you use a thin line of eyeliner, it makes the missing eyelashes barely noticeable. Then just use mascara and curl as usual until they grow back

Ive started using caster oil on my lashes and brows at night and 4 weeks on, the results are amazing!

I have a bald patch on my lashes too... It's caused by stress. Last time it happened I took a good multi vitamin and they grew back within a month or so.

You can also disguise this in the meantime with a dark eyeliner/eyeshadow. Makes it less obvious.

A client of mine used li lash her lashes looked fab and did stimulate growth I will be trying the castor oil method I think too!

Talika Lipocils helps to grow them back, I've only used the eyebrow one but heard good things about the eyelash version.

I have very sparse lashes and the only dermalmd seems to be improving their condition. It’s a bit fiddly to apply at first but I soon got the hang of it. No irritation either!

HasaDigaEebowai · 18/08/2021 06:16

Revitalash works but you have to use it every single day and it takes about 3 months before you notice any difference.

I was left with bald patches from having bad eyelash extensions and this has really helped my own grow back. Dermalmd Eyelash Growth Serum is really kind to eyes too
