Nice work shoes with arch support..do they exist?

After many years working on my feet, they are complaining!
I wear flat ballet style pumps for work (they need to be smart and black) and I know that I need to change these to something more supportive and soon.
I am struggling, however, to find a pair of smart, black shoes with supportive arches.
I'm going round in circles...does anyone else have any experience of this?

You can get removable arch supports/orthotics that can fit in multiple shoes. I can send you the link if you are interested in this.

I have flat feet so I wear orthotics in ALL my footwear! Confused

I think you'll have to compromise style over comfort.

Definitely have a look at Ecco. Brilliants shoes that last forever. Clarks are also pretty good.

What job do you do? If you are after smart footware then shoes that have a strap or lace up are much more comfortable.

Artistic only speaking from experience, some of my footwear accommodated the arch support better than others.

Was going to suggest orthotics too but capsicum beat me to it!

I bought some in boots yesterday, they have an offer of buy one get one half price. I bought a scholl pair for £25 and an own brand pair half price for £10.49. They seem to work best with flat / medium heel shoes, but definitely worth a try.

Thanks everyone Grin capsium I like the look of the second link and cheaper than new shoes!
Artistic do you use something similar?

Capsicum - yes you are right, not all shoes are the same.

OP - I usually wear hard arch supports as my flat feet are quite bad & I need very firm support. Mine are made from fibre & last a lifetime. Cost around £50-75.
If you don't have flat feet you can use the soft ones (scholls) I suppose?!
